Campbell Creek Ranch Mountain Wedding // Ketchum + Kimber
September 7th, 2019
There is a small gem hidden straight east of the small town of Meeker Colorado. Tucked back deep into the trees you can find many cabins and memories waiting to be had. This was my third Campbell Creek Ranch wedding, and I am not at all complaining! All of the small details put into the ranch are absolutely stunning!
The cabin is surrounded by mountains, trees, walking trails, and open fields. Deep in the pine trees it paints such a stunning, moody background paired wonderfully with warm, deep colors of red, orange, and plum. Creativity comes easily with the endless possibilities waiting to be discovered. Whenever I have the opportunity to shoot at this venue it feels like a weekend getaway! Nothing short of an adventure I would plan for my own family!
I was asked by Kimber, an old high school friend, to shoot her wedding at Campbell Creek Ranch and I didn't blink an eye! I was all in! Kimber and Ketchum love to ride and take care of their horses together, making a mountain ranch wedding perfect for them! I loved the wooden decor, glass bottles with fresh flowers, and the colorful jolly ranchers to keep things real!

Kimber got to wear her grandmother's white buffalo necklace, bracelet, and earrings for her wedding, and I must say it is gorgeous! I love when brides incorporate their family in their something old or borrowed for the wedding!
Ceremony locations at Campbell Creek Ranch are easy to come by! You can stay hidden in the trees close by the cabins, wander down the stone path to the pond for a small ceremony, or head out into the field for a large ceremony with a beautiful mountain landscape in every view. I think it is pretty easy to see why I love this place!
I love the variety of locations I have to take my couples at Campbell Creek. We can stay tucked in the trees for a moody intimate feel, go out in the fields to showcase the beautiful mountains all around, in the cabins during getting ready shots or bad weather, down by the pond and waterfall, or on the beautiful rock paths leading to the pond.
We ran out of light quickly as the sun sunk behind the nearby mountains. I had to think on the fly and think of ways we could get as many portraits in as possible before the sun was completely gone. I had a friend of mine run and grab my light so I could fulfill a photo vision I had. I don't normally use artificial lighting unless I really need to, and in this case, I needed and wanted to! I am so pleased with the dreamy end result!
Kimber + Ketchum's wedding day was absolutely stunning and Campbell Creek Ranch never disappoints! Stay tuned for another wedding I have there in a few weeks and yet another one scheduled for next year!
